With a matter of weeks to go before the practices in October we are not in too bad a shape. The engine will be finished by the end of this week, Barry Graham has it in Sydney as he told me last week that he was extremely pleased with how it stood up to the racing last year.I guess the maintenance programme it's on here helps, always good to hear though. Barry will have the engine back here by the end of September, and we should be ready when it gets here. The frame is powder-coated and we will see most of the gear go onto the chassis over the next couple of weeks. great to have Joey up to help put the car together. It makes it that much easier working on the car when he was around to put it together. We had two sponsors confirm this week which is the final two to come onboard. With the return of Big Ben as the Naming Right Sponsor, supported by both Dickies and Citizen Watches, we welcome back Elf Lubricants. Andrew Stewart and the team at Elf have been supporters of the #13 car for 5 years now and it's great to have them back. Like anything, you get used to using a particular brand and you know what it's capable of. We also welcome MGE Engineering to the team. Alan has been a friend of the family now for several years, in fact he was involved with the crew on Gary Davies Midget. Looking forward to having a beer ot two with Alan as he is a regular visitor to Western Springs. Brad can now press on and design the new look for this season, should see that in the next week or so. I have updated the Race Schedule on this site which has a number of meetings we intend to run at. I will add them as we have them confirmed.
