The day he landed he met with Shane Drake, his sponsor from ‘Chicane Motorsport’ and was fitted for his new race suit. It arrived yesterday and looks excellent. Brad has also been busy catching up with sponsors at ‘Dodge’ and ‘Dickies’. He is lucky enough to have also retained his sponsors from ‘Auto Trader’ and ‘Elf Oil’ for the upcoming season. He has been busy signwriting his midget and also painting a race helmet for Bryce Townsend.
Brad’s time at Keith Kunz Motorsport was amazing to say the least. He has had a chance to live a dream thanks to Keith and Pete who welcomed him from day one. Also the drivers: Jay, Bryan and Darren were a great bunch of guys full of talent and always ready to share their knowledge. And you can’t not mention the crew, Rusty, Al, Dan, Beau and Kristian who forever keep everyone laughing with their constant practical jokes. Thanks to you all for taking Brad into your family and treating him as one of your own.
Thanks also to Allan for the use of your basement and to Shane for being there as his cousie bro. You guys are awesome!
Back home now though and straight into the National Series at Western Springs and the International Series to be held here in Auckland and Christchurch. The NZ midget champs are in Christchurch this year as well as the away race series kicking off with the ‘City of Napier’ 30 lap Art Deco Midget Car Classic on the 25th November. The Midgets will also be traveling to Huntly, Fernedene and Gisbourne which has the very fast high bank ¼ mile track; Dates to be confirmed.
So as you can see we have a huge season ahead and our driver and crew are rearing to go. We will endeavor to keep the site updated now that we have the ‘computer guy’ back home. See you soon.
