:::: Dodging Rain Drops
:::::::::::::::25 May 2006

Tonight we were scheduled for our first race at Kokomo, Indiana. Unfortunately just as drivers meeting was about to start the skies opened up and within 10 minutes the race had been called and everybody was on their

way home.I got to catch up with fellow kiwi Jimi Quinn briefly at the track which was cool, he's been keeping busy and doing alot of travelling so I'm sure we'll meet again at another race somewhere.
Earlier today Dad and I mounted tires (Frank) and got the racecars ready for Kokomo. We havn't had a day yet that we havn't been lost somewhere in Indiana or driven on the wrong side of the road but we're starting to settle in and we are getting better!
Tomorrow night we head to the Indiana State Fairgrounds which is a mile long dirt track for the USAC Silver Crown race. We are within walking distance of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway where we are staying, so we will be able to hear the Indy Cars out for Bump Day tomorrow as well. Saturday Night we will head to IRP,we are due to meet with Dave Turner of TVNZ to do an interview for a kiwi's in he USA show playing in NZ in a couple of weeks. Sunday we'll head to the Indy 500 so there's plenty to do around here, please believe...
We drove to Anderson Speedway last night to watch the USAC Sprint Car race there. Unfortunately the race was cut 15 laps short due to rain, but it was cool to see Darren Hagen win. The cars raced with open headers which sounded amazing, i guess for everyone in New Zealand you could try sticking your head in the dryer to see what it was like, but maybe not.
