With our last goodbyes to everyone Sunday night we settled in for the long ride to LA and then straight onto Chicago. After spending the night there we got up and picked up the renal car. Spending most of the day in Downtown Chicago was a real eye opener.

People begging on the street, Yellow Cabs and Hummers everywhere. We headed off to Indianapolis, about a 3 hour drive, although at 80mph all the way it was pretty easy. We arrived at the place Brad is to stay at through to October and crashed.
This morning we headed down to Keith Kunz Race Shop which is in Columbus, about 40 minutes down the freeway. Both Keith, Pete and the crew were very welcoming. We took some photos of the truck/trailer and some of the cars in the workshop. Brad is to run the Jay Drake 67 Midget on Thursday Night at Kokomo. Parked beside it was the Steve Kinser Dirt Midget he ran at Chilly Bowl, Cory Kruseman’s Sprint Car, and the list goes on and on. I saw Brads face light up when he saw the Prize Cheque made out to Tony Stewart up on the wall with many more.
We head off to watch the team run their sprint cars at the ¼ mile pavement Anderson Speedway tomorrow nigh. Thursday night Brad races at Kokomo, Friday we see the Silver Crown Sprint Cars run at the Indiana State Fair grounds which is a mile dirt track where the cars run open headers, Saturday we see the Pavement Midgets run at Indianapolis Raceway Park, and then Sunday we are off to the Indy 500. No wonder they call this place the Speedway Capital of the World.
I will get some more photos up when Brad’s car is finished. If you want to contact Brad via email, click on the contact page where you will find his email address.
